The Day I Hit a Home Run at Great American Ball Park by Paul Mullen
This is a story about Michael “Fuji” Powers who was the youngest of 8 children. The boys all loved baseball but for Fuji it was an obsession. His dad’d dream was for one of his boys Knothole ‘D’ team to make it to the finals so that they could play in Great American Ball Park and hit a home run. Unfortunately Fuji was the smallest boy making this team—what he lacked in size he more than made up for it with heart! Boys will enjoy this read of boyish pranks, baseball and coming of age novel. It is written by a local author who lived in Clermont County and played for the infamous Cardnals team. The local interest kept me interested and the story had me rooting for Fuji till the end!
