What a cute story!  It has been a very long time since I have read a fairy tale—this one is told in alternating chapters by the Prince and Princess Rose.  The beginning chapters tell of Princess Rose’s childhood in a world without sharp things—especially a spinning wheel. The beginning chapters for the prince take place one-hundred and sixteen years later when he has discovered a duplicate castle to his own–only the other castle is covered with vines and trees which cannot be penetrated.  The Prince sets off to solve the mystery behind the castle while Princess Rose lies hidden the castle asleep for over 100 years.  Well you know the rest of the story—read this funny and entertaining retelling of Sleeping Beauty, by one of my favorite authors, Wendy Mass!
